Help & Contribute
Building in public
We’re not building Spark in a black box — everything’s open source. Love it or hate it, you can see the code, roast it and improve it. If something catches your eye, tag @buildonspark and tweet about it. We want to hear it all.
In the near future, we’ll also be introducing Spark Improvement Proposals (SIPs), allowing anyone to contribute to its development. We want the best ideas to win — no politics, no gatekeeping.
Give feedback
Spark is deliberately scrappy and fast-moving — we want to gather real feedback and improve quickly based on your experience integrating it. You’ll definitely notice some rough edges, but that’s exactly why we want your input now rather than later.
Your candid feedback is absolutely crucial. We want to hear everything - API design issues, integration challenges, major missing features, and especially any “this would never work for us because…” moments. The more detailed and direct your feedback, the better we can make this work for your needs. You’re early enough to help shape Spark the way you’d like it to be.
For any direct feedback — feel free to DM @buildonspark on X or get in contact with us directly here.
How to Help
Providing hardcore input and feedback is already 99% of the job. Beyond that, if you feel like sharing Spark with friends, colleagues, or anyone who might find value in it, it’s one of the best ways to support us. We’re focused on growing the ecosystem because the value of the network increases as more builders and users engage with it. Anything that moves us in that direction is our north star.
Submit Pull Requests
Since Spark is fully open source, we welcome and encourage pull requests! If you’ve found a bug to fix, have an improvement to add, or want to contribute a new feature, don’t hesitate to submit a PR. We believe in letting the best ideas win, regardless of where they come from.
No contribution is too small - whether it’s fixing a typo in documentation, improving error messages, or adding tests. We’re grateful for all forms of contribution that help make Spark better for everyone.
